Spring festival in Botriver! 

Run in vibrant, spring colours!

Join in the festivities after the trail run! GREAT vibes gaurenteed! This is an AWESOME trail run in a spectacular area!

Distances: 15km / 8km or a 5km fun run which is pram friendly. No pets allowed, unfortunately - the farm dogs here are very territorial.

Pre entry cost:
15km - R160.00
8km - R90.00
5km - R50.00

Late entry cost:
15km - R170.00
8km - R100.00
5km - R70.00

Race rules:

Rain jacket in case of rainy weather
Windshell and cell phone in normal weather
Hydration - bring own. There is a fresh mountain stream on the 15km route at about 7km.
Rudeness, swearing and smoking during the event not tolerated

Bot River explodes with colour for 2017 Spring Weekend

Follow the rainbow for fanciful farm hopping and pantry shopping

Let the bluebird of happiness lead you over the rainbow when the annual Spring Weekend comes to the pretty little village of Bot River on 1-3 September, with a kaleidoscope of exciting wines, food, and genuine, country-style fun.

Just like the rainbow-theme it has adopted this year, the people of this Overberg town have lined up a dazzling spectrum of activities and fun that showcase the best of the region. In celebration of the awakening of nature in all its forms, all the participating wine farms will throw open their doors for visitors to taste their cellar gems and unique local produce through convivial farm hopping and pantry shopping.

NELLA se Vinnige Frikkadella

500gm Maalvleis
1 blikkie Baked Beans
2 Eiers (liggies geklits)
1 Ui (gerasper of baie fyn gekap)
150ml - 200ml Hawermout
Vars kruie soos Basil, Tiemie & Pietersielie
2t Knoffel in olie
Sout & Peper
Meng alles goed saam.
Rol balletjies.
Bedek 'n swaar boom pan met bietjie water en klein bietjie kookolie / olyfolie.
Plaas balletjies in pan en bak tot gaar. 
Ek sit gewoonlik die pan se deksel op en as ek hoor die frikkadelle begin
"simmer" en suis, gooi ek weer klein bietjie water onder in pan en
draai frikkadelle om tot albei kante gaar.
Die water maak dat dit lekker souserig is.
